Cyclosystem extends range to keep Singapore’s Bus Vehicles in pristine condition
 

Cyclosystem has built its reputation and an impressive customer portfolio from its more than 2 decades of history and experience in providing Standard and Customized Equipment for the Railway Industry. And this made Cyclosystem’s reputation not only known but also made the company’s services even more reliable.  The latest testament to this confidence is Cyclosystem’s appointment to undertake one of the prestigious contracts for the transportation industry in Singapore - providing a comprehensive range of Bus Maintenance Equipment for the upcoming Sungei Seletar and Ulu Pandan Bus Depots.

 

Both projects call for the design, engineering, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning of several cleaning and maintenance equipment such as Automated Bus Washing System, Automatic Undercarriage Cleaning System, Spray Paint Booth, Lubrication and Waste Oil Collection System, Windscreen Pneumatic Manipulator, Vehicle Lifting System and Waste Water Treatment Plant, on both depots.

 

Cyclosystem’s Design and Project Team have been working around the clock to ensure that the project timeline is on track. The new Sungei Seletar bus depot, is off Yio Chu Kang Road beside the Seletar Expressway (SLE) and Sungei Seletar Simpang Kiri river. This bus depot will accommodate the growing bus fleet that will support higher service standards under both the expanded Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) and the Government Contracting Model (GCM) for the public bus service in Singapore. When completed by 3rd quarter 2017, the Sungei Seletar bus depot will accommodate about 500 buses and will be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus repair and maintenance, bus parking, offices, rest area for bus drivers and canteen.  Ulu Pandan Bus Depot will be located off Boon Lay Way along Business Park Drive. The depot is able to accommodate about 500 buses, the depot will also be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus repair or maintenance, bus parking, offices, rest area for bus drivers and canteen. Ulu Pandan bus depot will be completed by the first quarter of 2018.

 

Cyclosystem has been working closely with main the contractor and Singapore Land Transport Authority.  Cyclosystem’s Managing Director, Mr. Darell Koh said, “I think they appreciate the sense of urgency we’ve brought to the job. This is a very challenging yet outstanding achievement by the team as a whole. It takes our business into a new market sector. Clients understandably have increasingly diverse and high expectations in the depot. We as the OEM take this into account and have set high standards for ourselves.”
